This is what I want to know too.

I've been looking at the 60D but I'm tighter than a ducks backside when it comes to spending money. From what I understand (which is very little) almost anything is an upgrade to the 1100D

well bought my first 1100d today,only cost me £49 using my tesco vouchers.so going to try it for the first time today

I've only had my 1100d, just over a year now, and although my photography improved lot, I am starting to notice the limitations on it, such as no pull out screen, memory card in battery compartment cant take card out when on tripod, also no mirror lockup for long exposures etc.

Had mine just under a month. Really enjoying using it. Some shots are successful some are rubbish. But I'm hoping this time next year I will have improved.

Just need a telephoto lens and macro for my snakes.

I've had my 1100d about 15 months now - I think the next step for me is a 7D.
