Canon 15mm Fisheye still broken?

I have just had my 15mm Fisheye returned from repair at Lehmans. I managed to drop it and the auto focus stopped working. Here's the thing though, I had only used it twice and now it sounds like a coffee grinder when its focusing. It still focusses well enough but wow its noisy. I know its not USM but should it be this noisy? Also how slack should the MF ring be?

In AF, it sounds like a Sigma macro on steroids and in MF, the ring is light and smooth.

Set it manually at around 1m and everything bar very close stuff should be right.

Well they had two attempts at fixing a Mk2N of mine and wanted a third before it went to Elstree. That said it took them a further 3 attempts to finally nail it! I usually use Fixation but that wasnt an option on this one.
