Sorry, Studio16, but a 17-350 f/2.8 can never happen, at least not with current optical technology. Too heavy, too many optical compromises.
A variable aperture, slow 18-200, 18-270 or 28-300 is perfectly doable, but Tamron have a great many years more experience in this area.

Im sure i read somewhere (maybe here) that Canon was expected to release a 17 or 18-350 or something anyone got any info on this :shrug: i dont seem to be able to find anything but i deffo read it somewhere
