Canon 17-85mm Stuck aperture blades

Hopefully you guys don't mind offering a bit of advice to a relative newbie.

After getting along quite well with my 400D and canon 17-85mm lens I've come across a little problem. For some time I've been coming across the quite common error 99!!

This has continued for some time until recently when the camera refuses to take photos at anything other than f4.0.

After doing a little bit of scratching around and testing with a nifty fifty I'm 99% sure its the lens.

So with this in mind I'd like to see if anyone is aware of any companies that offer a repair service...

There's loads of repair companies..

Try sending it back to Canon? There's a company called Fixation that are good.
 
Cheers guys I didn't think canon would do anything because its well out of warranty.

I'll give them a shout though cheers.
 
I think there are 3 non Canon UK repair places in England that are variously reccomended but they are "official" repair centres.

Fixation in London, Colchester Cameras in Colchester :D and Lehman in Stoke.

Canon UK repair centre is in Elstree.
