From experience, the raynox works brilliantly on the 55-250 but not so well on the 17-85 due to the heavy vignette so I'd imagine, as said, you will experience similar on the 18-135 though if you keep it long you'll probably get pretty good results.
Do you currently have the lens or the Raynox? If you already have the 18-135 then buy the raynox and see how you get on as you'll lose very little if you have to sell it on, especially if you can get a used one off here.
