Canon 1D "Classic" Owners Thread

Hi Guys,

Im fully prepared that this idea and thread will drop like a stone but wondered how many of "us" there were.

what we love about it and show that the "dinosaur" can still take some decent images and can be picked up for peanuts.

I used to have one, really liked the jpegs from it. Used to have a 300 2.8 IS on it, using two hands to change the settings was a nightmare. There's a big thread on POTN forum about the 1D classic.

yeah i look at that one.......thought i'd test to see if there was an appetite for one here as there are for other bodies.

i doubt there are too many folks with one though as they seem to be out of favour.

I had one, loved it but it died within a couple of weeks of getting it - mirror box assembly failed or something. I'm keeping an eye out for one that doesn't have a charger so I can get it dead cheap and use my Mk II's charger
