Canon 1d mark ii Tethered shooting?

Sorry if this has been covered, but is there any conceivable way to shoot tethered with a mark ii without using a firewire? Have a situation coming up where a tethered shoot would be handy, but have no firewire connection or xp on 32 bit lol, am I on a looser already?

You could buy the WFT-E2 wireless file transmitter and do it wirelessly, IIRC it is compatible with the 1D Mk2.

did you go down this route by the way? I'm interested as I had my first 'exposure' to someone with one of these and looked 'well cool' with an ipad and I'm thinking of going down this route. :shrug:

I use an 8gb x2 pro with a Delock SD-CF adapter in my 5Dmk II and it works a treat. The boffins at Eye-Fi won't officially endorse or support this set-up but they acknowledge that it works.

Excellent having images show up on the iPad a few seconds after each shot.

Never used one with a Mk2 but generally the EyeFi is more about transmitting over the Internet rather than from camera to PC in the same room.
