Canon 1D Mk III for £1999.00

I wonder if the 1DS mk III will get a big price drop too when the mk IV arrives.

All gone as far as I can see...

No stock for home delivery, and no stores for pickup!!

Edinburgh & Perth appear to have stock.
& don't forget quidco to make it even cheaper.

There's one in the strand branch in London.

I am not driving 160 miles each way to get a camera...if I were in town today on a job i'd have considered it!

But instead i think i'll hold out for a mkIV once the prices come down!

Yeah, 320 miles is costly far better to wait and pay £4000 for the Mark IV over £2000 for a Mark III :p

Could you not buy one and get someone to collect and post for you? Mind you a used Mark III is going for around £1500 - £1600 these days so £2000 new price isn't that great a deal as many of the used ones will still be under warranty with the extension that Canon put on them.

Mike.

I saw one tucked away in a low-level display case at Jessops in Guildford yesterday. Might be still there. Bloody good price for an amazing camera.

Stop being an enabler!!!!! I would love to get one of each to be fair. a mkIV and a mkIII and then use the mkII for the remote!

However, i simply cant afford that! Figure stick with the mkIV and a mkII plus 30D for remote.

I got one from the Newbury branch just before the holidays. The nearest one was Bristol they had to get it pulled in for me.
You can also get 12 months 0% on these babies! 150quid a month for a new 1d :D

Hi,

 Yeah the Mark IV looks the business on paper and on the few pages I have seen with samples, I retire in under 4 years and had promised myself a 500mm F4 IS but a new camera might be a 'requirement' too if they keep advancing at the current rate, can you imagine what a used Mark IV will cost in 4 years time ;)

Mike.

that's a good point....in 4 years time though you'll probably have p&s cameras with the high iso capabilities of the mk4! i wonder what the final mk3 stocks will be sold at after the mk4 comes in...
