Canon 1D MK IV as an allround camera

Besides this being an action/wildlife fast action camera, do any of you use it to shoot portraits and landscapes?

It seems to be an allround camera that can do everything....

Your thoughts on the matter?

It's got most of the attributes to do the job well and has an excellent dynamic range...better than the 1DsIII and 5DII although by a very small margin. My only perception is that it doesn't quite deliver the vibrancy of the 1DsIII/5DII sensor. I quite often pop off a few candid/portraits if the action stops when I'm out shooting sports.

Doesnt quite deliver the vibrancy but if you only had a one choice of the camera body would I be right to assume you would go for the 1d4 over the 1ds3 ?

100%...but that's because I shoot sport and wildlife. I think that the 1DIII was slightly nearer to the 1DsIII than the MkIV is. There was something about the 1DIII's output that was a little special in the same way that the 40D had the edge over the 50D.

ahhh okay bob thanks for your insight, you havent used the 1d mkiv to shoot portraitures or landscapes by any chance ?

Here's a few here from the weekend....not strictly portraits but you get the idea. They're maybe a little too processed for judgement as I was quickly eliminating a cluttered background (fences etc) before posting with the rest of the match shots.
I've searched for a 1DIV landscape shot and turned up zilch....I'd always take the 1DsIII if that's where I was heading.

Edit...I should add that they're all shot with a 300/2.8IS....not your normal portrait lens by a margin.
