Is there any way I can do remote shooting on this camera ?

I have seen wireless triggers on other cameras before just curious about this model also

Same thing, if it fits a 1DS it will fit the 1DIII, 40D, 50D, 1DIV and 1DX as they all have the same N3 trigger socket in the camera body

Oh i see I was unsure it the different models would have different software functions......

This is a nice option, but i have another model, because i hate using CR2 batteries, so i bought one with AA or AAA as i have plenty of these rechargeable better than CR2, only the receiver is with CR2 and it is not much bad as i don't need to change it much a lot for long time.

As Jim says, the Giga T Pro II is compatible with the 1D III, another cheaper option is the Aputure Pro Coworker II - http://www.amazon.co.uk/Aputure-AP-...p/B008JEP0UE/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top?ie=UTF8

The transmitter takes AAA batteries.
