Canon 1Ds - folder renaming

Posting this for a colleague so I may not have all the info....

The problem is that he wants to force the camera to use a particular directory on the CF card to store photos in (it's a long story involving multiple cameras and multiple CF cards and wanting to easily know which camera took which photos). Any ideas how/if this can be accomplished?

I'll pop and have a look on mine at lunch, IIRC you go into display, then scroll through the different display modes past the histogram screen and into folders, then you can set a new folder.

Also an easier way, the camera serial number is embedded in the exif if he wants to know which camera took which image.

Just thought I'd offer a slightly different approach to the folder name (which is possible BTW).
I have two 1DMkIV's and have the image prefix set differently. It's IMG_ as a default but I have mine set as 1D4A_ and 1D4B_ to differentiate.

In the 1d3 theres a "File name setting" in the menu (5th page along) that lets you change the folder/directory.
