Shooting a single subject with the same lens, exposure and metering settings on both cameras, I've noticed that my 1Ds MkIII always produces an image that looks about 1/2 a stop under exposed when compared with the identical 5D image. I've read that the dynamic range of the 1Ds is wider than the 5D, so am I seeing a result of this extra range, or is there a problem with my 1D?
From a technical perspective, I shoot in RAW, process via Canon's DPP software and display everything on a fully calibrated monitor. I think we can strike this little lot off as a possible problem area, but any advice would be most welcome
