No, there's currently 2 in the UK, the one we had in WEX today was sourced from Europe .. we can't use our memory cards and take files away as the firmware is still 'work in progress' so kinda take results with a pinch of salt.

Had a play with one at the pro solutions show, again not allowed our own CF cards in the camera. Was such a pleasure to use and very solid, then again for the price difference between it and a 5dII I'd expect that. Might get one after a couple of years of saving 
It's a little strange that they should release it whilst the firmware is WIP.... It is like saying here is a car theat will do 300 mph but it hasn't been road tested yet and no test drives....I'll make my judgement when the firmware has been proven...I own 2 Mkiv's and would seriously look at replacing one of them with a 1DX....not both though ! I'll be keeping one MKiv because of the loss of crop factor for sport ....

this happens alot and most of the time whenthe proper cam comes out with the proper firmware people that played with the pre production firmware say the af speed was better before the iso noise was better before,
but will be interesting to see some high iso shoots.

Its exactly like that. Cars are announced well in advance of them actually going on sale. They get taken to shows. They get test driven by journalists. They get taken all over the world and put into real world situations, and during this stage final tweaking gets done in response to feedback from real-world people rather than car designers.
The 1DX's are doing the shows, open days and magazines, and no doubt a number are in the hands of top photographers allied to Canon who will be reporting back to them on a regular basis with their comments. Its just that they can't say due to non-disclosure agreements.
The camera will be available to buy from March.

Adam, the 14 fps don't have autofocus, you might be interested in the 1Dx thread a bit down the page.
Here were my thoughts after the Islington show in October..

For me this camera is primarily aimed at the sports tog market, not at the wildlife scene as the full frame and lack of any crop factor, not to mention the lack of f8 autofocus makes it a bit limiting, however there is no doubt that Canon have put a huge effort in to the a/f system and it is to be hoped this is a real step forward, although it was impossible to try this out at the show.
As others have said, the f8 a/f is dead in the water, and has been sacrificed for we hope improved tracking etc.
Stuff like face and colour recognition in the a/f is again to me sports related and I suspect we'll see a lot of these in use at the olympics where I'm sure they will be excellent, particularly if the noise claims are fulfilled.
Let's hope that some of the features of the a/f and the sensor noise improvements filter down the range pretty quickly, and the dual joystick is a great improvement compared to the old 1 series models, enabling much easier focus point selection in the portrait mode.
All in all, an interesting camera."
I still stand by my comments there. I'd love to see the noise improvement in a 7D replacement, so let's hope that happens sooner rather than later...

Nah, just yum
The 14fps continuous mode uses the metering and focus from the first shot, then afterwards the mirror is locked up and the shutter just goes insane (check youtube vids)!
I can imagine that would be useful trying to catch action for something which isn't moving towards or away from you, but 12fps will full AE and AF is ridiculous. Even the 8fps of the 7D amazes me
