I currently have a Canon EF 20-35mm. I'm happy with it's performance, but would like to be able to zoom in more. It would be my general use lens, for friends, family and outings etc, where I don't want to be faffing about swapping things over.
I could revert back to the standard kit lens (non-is), but would rather something a better and faster
I am considering the Tamron 17-50mm f2.8 as it's been reccomended on here so often, but it seems to be the unstabalised version. Is it just because of the price difference or is there a difference in the image quality?
Also, is there anything else I should consider? (the canon 17-50 is over my budget
)
And would I be missing out on anything major in the 20-35mm range by trading in?
Using Canon 500D and also have Sigma 50mm 1.4 and the Canon 70-200L.
