Yes
Fairly basic, he doesn't go too in-depth but it's the first hands-on I've seen. He is sponsored by Canon too so...

I had a play with the one that was at Canon's show at Islington in Nov 2011, only got my hands on it for about 3 mins, it's a heavy beast, but certainly an interesting concept. There was one on Centre court last year as well, so they've been playing with it for a long time. Bit pricey though, as are all of the new super tellys.
AS he says, there won't be many amateurs sporting this lens, I suspect!

Would be the first thing I bought if I won the lottery
It's the perfect wildlife lens in my opinion:)

SO want that but alas the price is rather forbidding! On the plus side it makes the cost of a 70-200mm F2.8L mk2 seem reasonable :)

Personally it's just too expensive for an f4 lens. Yes I would love one, but I think if only they had made a straight forward f4 lens rather than complicating matters with a built in TC, as most of us already have TCs in our kit bag it might have already been available to buy.

The 7 of us could always club together and buy one when its released, we all get to use it 1 day a week :D

The thing with lenses like this is, yes they cost a bomb, but when you look at it, the price could rise in 4 years time, so when you come to sell it, you could have got 4 or 5 years use from it for nothing or not much at all.

Lenses don't really depreciate that much, and i cant see them manufacturing a great deal of them.
