Canon 24-105 f4 zoom creep?

Hi all,

I have a 24-105 F4 L lens, and rather annoyingly the zoom tends to creep when its being carried on my black rapid (so its at my hip, lens pointing down).

Just want to check if this is normal/expected behaviour or if I should get a service centre to take a look.

No problems with it other than that.

It doesnt creep out if its just pointing down, only when I am stomping somewhere in a bit of a rush...

Hmm, will see if someone local has one and see if I can do a side by side.

Yes mine does that. It didn't but it has started to do it, I suspect it may be to do with usage. Could get it fixed, but it's a £120 standard repair charge from Canon so I can live with it

It has seen a fair bit of usage, and once the grip for the 5d arrives it makes the body heavier and the lens ends up pointing sideways when carried so no biggie.
