Quick question for those in the know does this lens suffer from zoom creep from new or even with age while camera is on your shoulder ?

It shouldn't.

Mine did suffer from this but only after about 4 years of constant use use and around 60,000 exposures. When it was brand new it was fine.

It did have to go back to Canon for a minor repair recently and I asked them could they fix the creep. They replaced the original grease on the zoom threads with a slightly thicker one, problem solved

Mine creeps a bit when the camera is slung over my shoulder and I'm walking about. It is fine in use though.

Not noticed mine creeping when it's slung over my shoulder. In fact I'm 99% sure there is none at all. Mines just over 6 months old now and still in as new condition.
