Hey guys,
i've been toying with the idea of a canon 24-70 f/2.8 for my 600d but i have a few questions:

1. as the 600d is APS-C will it be ok, i'm not 100% if it will make a difference from a ff?
2. can it be purchased from anywhere on finance?

thank you for looking.

It will be fine on a cropped sensor it will be more like a 40-115 mm (complete guess) Iv used the lens on a 7d for a while and I really like the focal distance.

Jessops are actually pretty good value on this lens and they do a 3 year finance plan,

I believe digitalrev (a good website to figure out roughly the best value for something) is not much cheaper at all.

it will make a slight diff in focal legnth as the 600d is a crop sensor so the 24-70 on crop would work out at 38-112mm, you can get this lens from WEX ON FINANCE, and by the way its a great piece of glass as i also have it :)

Sorry Jessops do a 6month plan, not 3 years. I wish I had the money to buy it now off you, would save you time trying to sell it haha.

Thanks for the replies guys.. I'll pop to my local Jessops and see what it's like then :)

Jack, they do a good 0% finance. I had a mare trying to get hold of one at jessops a few months back.

As there is a new model out shortly, you may get a better price by waiting or haggling as shops will want to get rid of old stock.

I'm not too worried about the look of the body and lens, any ideas when the new lenses are due out?

Tried it today and was very impressed.. Although finance at jessops wouldn't allow it :(

Can't you get a 0% credit card and then buy it from the cheapest reliable retailer you can find? Tesco/marks & sparks and Halifax are all offering 15 months 0% right now and Kerso (Flashcamera) has the lens available for £899, saving £95 on Jessops price.

you are a genius, i never thought of that idea... Santander kept offering me a 0% credit card a while back... hmm

If you go through Quidco Halifax are paying £10 cash back right now on their 15 month 0% card. it all adds up in my book ;)
