My new Canon 300D come today (2nd hand) but with out the software cd? The only cd that came was the Photoshop cd. So does anyone know where i can find the software that will upload the pics to my computer?

I never bother with the camera software myself, just pop your card in a card reader and upload, a lot easier :)

You can download it from Canon i think if not PM me I'm sure I can help

The software you will need is zoombrowser, Digital Photo Professional, and EOS utility. It is available FOC from the Canon website.

Photoshop is not available FOC

I believe the latest DPP can be downloaded but you need to have at least v1 to upgrade it.

A google search will probably find you a location to download the older v1 software first install that then the upgrade...

DPP will allow you to process your RAW files

:)

The EOS utility allows you to remote control the camera, big woop.

However, it does also allow you to easily download and view, only UPDATED or NEW images from the camera. This is a great benefit, if you don't like to clear cards immediately after shooting. (as you can use the cards as temporary backup)

Zoombrowser is started automatically after EOS has downloaded the images. It allows you to quickly view and select images

DPP allows you to process the raw images, and I have found its processing is a lot more accurate than CS2. It can apply the noise correction and lens correction to the images depending on lens, even if these were selected as disabled in the camera.
