Canon 35mm f/1.4L focus ring stuck...

anybody ever experienced such a problem? Basically my focus ring wont go past a certain point, therefore won't focus on something at a particular distance away, it seems to be locked (either in manual or auto).
I am sick with grief.
 
It's not an uncommon problem Alex - it could be down to a bit of muck or grit getting in there, or something just fouling internally. It should be a pretty easy fix for a pro though - get it sent off and stop fretting. ;)
 
oh dear :( well I best do that quickly. How do I get it sent off to Canon, or do I just take it to a camera repair place? My well loved 35mm f/1.4L, I think the priciest lens i bought aside from the 70-200mm (!!!).
 
anybody have a web link, am struggling to find something on their site with info on where to send, etc...
 
thanks, that looks good to me! I live in London most of the time, so probably best to use the London based one...

Your best bet! phone mon-fri 8:30-5:30 press option 1 then 3. hope you get it sorted....
 
I went there once and had a sensor clean "while I waited"

worth a visit!
