Just a question would my canon 400d take a 32gb memory card ?

I've no idea where the 400D is concerned, but I once used a 16GB card on my D90 with no problems.

Large cards make me feel somewhat uneasy. If all of your photos are stored on one card instead of several smaller ones, you'll lose all of the images if the card decides to play-up on you. At least with smaller capacity cards you only risk losing a small number of images instead of everything.

well i have ordered one anyway, i will just have to see if it works.

Large cards make me edgy sometimes but i always shoot then transfer strait away when i get home.

the only thing now is that if i do decide to upgrade at somepoint to the 60D then the 32gb will have to be re-homed lol

60D will take only SD cards. There are more reasons NOT to get it. Perhaps treat your card to 5D mkII instead
