Canon 400d battery grip gone bust?

Hi everyone, i just recieved my battery grip but having second thoughts now because of this!

It wasnt their before when i first got it! i put my camera inside my shoulder bag as seen in this pic below:

It fitted fine. Just about. still a bit of room left inside and i then left it inside for only around half an hour/an hour. took it out again and notice that bump/bubble!!

Not sure how that developed! best to send it back? anyways of fixing it? tried to press it as hard as i can but not having it. i removed the batteries and looked inside and diddnt see anything inside that is bent.

thoughts?

Yea the grip at the front mate at the bottom of the wheel that screws the grip to the camera.

Also I got it for 34 not 134. Don't know why the price has risen.

Also you maybe right. If u check the eBay link and the 4th pic of the grip. Its visible. Maybe it does come with it but why? Looks weird. The official one doesn't have it.
 
That looks like its the raised bit between first and middle finger, its in the picture of the listing, My 3rd part 450D grip doesnt have it but its not same make etc, unless it presses down indicating a bubble of the rubber grip then its fine.

i have another query. It seems that when i turn on my camera and then turn on the new battery grip, All the buttons from my camera are disabled. i cant browse the camera's menu, cant view my pictures from the camera's viewfinder, cant adjust ISO, AF, WB, metering mode and cant adjust aperture or shutter speed too. The only thing that can be used is the shutter dial to adjust the av -+ exposure brightness and i am able to press the shutter button to take pics.

exact same issue with the available buttons the grip itself with only the shutter button working.

This is not an issue I have encountered I would suggest checking the contacts just incase that's the issue

Also try just to see if it makes a difference, turn the grip then the camera on :shrug:

I tried turning grip on first then camera. I also tried inserting only one battery and I even tried to tighten the grip even more. No joy. Contacts on the grip must be messed up.
