Canon 400d Cf bent Pins Advice.

Friend has a 400d which they say has bent a pin or two.

Im going to have a look in a couple of days but does anyone have any
advice/experience with diy repair or a price if sent away?

I don't think it's the sort of thing the average diyer could do but if they're confident enough to strip it down then parts are available.
There's someone on Ebay who does it quite cheaply, that might be the better option. ;)

Was hoping that maybe something from my mobile phone repair kit
would do the job.

Maybe straighten the pin enough for the card to do the rest.
 
Normally it's a whole new CF unit, don't think the bits are available separately.

You might be able to find the pin assembly if lucky but it'll be a tough job to DIY.

I did make my e-bay link a clicky to the seller's listing but that annoying forum advert thing changed it! :razz:

You can buy the part for under £20 but for what that ebay seller charges to do the repair it's a no brainer. ;)
