Canon 400D Highlight Alert

Does anyone know if the highlight alert facility is only available in playback when viewing the small single image with the histogram display?

I saw a tutorial with a higher end camera where it could be viewed on the full size single image so I'm not sure it applies to the 400D.

on my 30d i've only ever seen it on the histogram only display

I've gone through the menus quite extensively, and I've only ever seen the highlight blinking on the histogram review, I don't think you can get it on the full screen review.

I've never seen it anywhere apart from the small image on the 400d

Yep, not possible on the 400D.
