Canon 40d

Well the if it's the latest lens that's £320 on Warehouse Express, not sure how much 2nd hand 40ds go, but seems like a pretty good price on that basis. Do an e-bay search on completed items to give yourself an idea for 2nd hand prices.

I may be missing something however....
 
Seems too good deal to me. Pick up only to be sure the camera, lens etc are working fine.
 
He lives about 10mins away from me he did have a ad wanting to swap the camera and something elese for a jet ski
 
Looks to good to be true as im thinking of buying a second hand one body only for £480. Wish something like this came up for me.
 
Check some more camera gear on there as I noticed that stuff from all over the UK had the same reply email? might be legit but looks dodgy to me! Bargain though at £480, I paid £370 last year in the USA for my 40D but the exchange rate was $2.05 to the £.

1:Hi tony the camera has taken roughly 300 pictures don,t know how to check on camera but thats how many we have saved in our canon folder on the pc the flash is a canon speedlight payed 100 for it at the time the tripod is a fluid filled one very smooth the bag for camera is a lowpro and there are cokin filters as well don,t want to pressure anyone but have a lot of intrest since advertising it anyone who gets it wont be disapointed as its still like new the camera still has original box instuctions cds and cables also have receipts

2:The only reason were selling is I use to be in to photography and had a film slr a long time ago and thought I could convert to digital and the missus does not want to take it on holiday cause its so big so she wants a smaller one if you have the 400D you will know this one is bigger it has the magnesium body
 
If you can go round to check everything out before parting with the cash, then why not?
I suppose it could be stolen, but he reckons he has the box etc.
 
I have heard of problems reported with cons on here re Gumtree, but if he lives 10 mins away, he has the box etc, you can very thoroughly check it over before agreeing to buy, apart from a 10 min journey and a bit of time, what do you have to loose :shrug:
 
I'd arrange to meet and get the camera ASAP before you're gazumped. The phone number ties up with the Fawley area shown on the map so I'm pretty certain it's legit.
