Canon 450D quick question

I am watching a Canon 450d on eBay and it says the following;

"It does however highlight over exposed areas on the photo in pink which i cant turn off. This may be a fault with the camera or just a setting i dont know how to disable."

Can anyone shed any light on this? Is it just a setting that needs to be turned off?

If its in the final image, then its a sensor fault, I've seen old compacts do this.
 
Ahhhh I have just asked him that question whether it's just on the screen or final image
 
Pink highlights are a sensor fault. I had a bridge camera that did this (old one) and within two minutes of Googling I was sure. The person who sold it to me, despite claiming he had a team of photographic experts, tried to fob me off saying that it was a colour setting that was out. Oddly, the higher I increased the ISO, the more resistant the image became to pink blown out areas.

I would send a message to the seller and explain that it is a sensor fault, and if they've got kindness in their heart they will delist it, or greatly reduce the price.

Oh dear thats not good.. He has it up for £300 buy it now??..
 
Definitly a sensor fault.

Great camera though... Micloi is right though, could probably find one mint for that price.
