I've recently got a 500D and it works well apart from one niggle. I bought a Redsnapper tripod and head but the QR plate screw binds in the tripod mount on the camera, only going in about half as far as it should. I thought this was just a problem with the QR screw as my Gorillapod fits fine, however I've tried a couple of other tripods and the like in there and it only seems to 'work' for about half of them. Any suggestions?
