Canon 500D seriel number?

I'm trying to register my camera on the Canon website, but I cannot for the life of me find the seriel number! :bang: I've looked everywhere, but I cannot find a number that has the prefix 'No'.

Can anyone help me find the number or has anyone had similar problems?

The serial number is on the bottom of the camera. Black numbers in a silver rectangular box. No prefix either.

Not that I am aware of - I have a 10-digit number on the bottom, there are no letters.

As far as I know yes. I'd ordered it new from Amazon.co.uk

well if you have no luck maybe someone has registerd it already by mistake email canon and see what they say.
I have had that problem before with one of my nikon and it ot sorted out fine.

Oops sorry lol.....I actually never registered mine:bonk: so was unaware what the number looked like...

hmm now I am confused - I just did the exact same thing to show you what the error message said, and now it's registered???? Not quite sure what the problem was!

You're not going mad. The same thing happened to me once.
Seems to be a glitch in the Canon site because mine worked the next morning.
