Canon 50d - 7d

His is the upgrade path i am thinking of taking, any pros and cons with the 7d, or have you taken this route before?
 
I've used both, the 7d is a fantastic camera.

The files it produces are near identical to the 50d. The AF tracking is better and it has a slightly faster fps rate, buts thats pretty much it. They handle identically. It's not a huge upgrade.

i went from a 40d to a 7d, it has taken a bit of getting used to, i suppose more because the 7d is a bit more unforgiving than the 40d, but i love it
 
Ah yes forgot about video! Of course the 7d does video but the 50d doesn't but personally I'd still use a HD camcorder for video rather than a DSLR.

That link isn't real world though, I mean, better colour depth?? "Distinguishes 0.2 more bits of colour" lol!!

The AF system is a big step forward on the 7D, but it appears it takes some setting up / getting used to...

From the short periods I've used a 7D, it is a nice camera and is one of the bodies I'm considering
 
Wow, thanks fr the responses, really apprecieate it, the more i look at a 7d the more i want it, i shoot in low light alot aswell smand this seems to be one of the beat cameras out there for it.

It's only marginally better at low light than the 50d, and only noticeable of you pixel peep.

I'd suggest trying one out first.

Im lookin into this option as we speak......... Seems the most logical solution lol
