Canon 580ex2 and pocket wizard users needed

Just got this message from a.. canon friend OK there I admitted it I have canon friends, but that aside I need help from the light side

He's stuck on this...

Mate stuck in Sardinia without my damn inatruction book for 580ex2 and now can't work out how to sync my 580ex2 and 580ex with my pocket wizards shooting wirelessly I managed to before I left few weeks ago but now no joy and it's vital I get it working

Any help appreciated!!

You see if it was Nikon's CLS I'd have the answer, I found this but need someone who speaks Canonise to help me!

He's doing that nasty glamour stuff out there (I say that in a jealous tone because I'm not with him)... What's that I hear you think? It did not come across in any tone via simple text well it's there, but it's ok, I'm here at 12 in the morning trying to help while he sweats in the Italian night heat..

What PW's is he using, is it the flex / mini combo? ... Turn on the flash. Then the flex and mini combo, then the camera ... I found that the way you switch them on can affect how they work

I have plus II's and as David says, you just need a little cable with a hot shoe. These don't come with the pw's and I had to purchase mine from The Flash Centre.
