Canon 5D - anything better for £650?

Phew. Big relief all round, I've bought a 5D. Cost a little more than £650 but it's one-owner,

I was in the same boat 3 weeks ago when I ended up getting the 5D MK1 you got a good deal there I paid a bit more than that for ours although it did look like it had just come out of the new box ,( really well looked after ) added a battery grip to it and it feels very well balanced now with the 70 -200 F/2.8 sigma on it , almost looks like a 1D now :)

Just picked up the 5D. "Nice nick" underrated it, it is indistinguishable from new. I am more than a bit chuffed.

Extra battery, 2 CF cards and the Wiley/Lowrie Digital Field Guide thrown in. Very nice guy too, thanks Bob . Ebay gets a lot of stick but sometimes it works out well.

Just to prove I really bought one :)

Snapped with the EF 28-70mm f3.5-45 kit lens that came with my EOS650 in 1987. 50mm f1.4 & 85mm f1.8 are in my future.

If that's a metal mount jobbie I have one and tbh I think its a damn fine lens (especially in your case as it can now be regarded as 'free') and just goes to show a decent body can make an average/good lens look very good indeed.

Best wishes with the new camera (incidentally my 1D was obviously 2nd hand, as are a lot of my lenses, I bought a new 85/1.8 and its a peach, highly recommended).

Matt

Yes, metal mount. Not just free but I've saved £1k on a 24-70mm F2.8. So I'm quids in!
