Well I took the plunge and my new camera will be here tomorrow. I'm very excited but don't no where to start as far as learning to use this bad boy. I was thinking I need to figure out the focusing system first. Any pointers?
That is one big mess of a thread imho,. As far as it being the same as any other camera, I'm coming from a 600D and from what I'm reading its no where close to the same. Thanks anyway.

There are also a couple of "what settings" threads, which might be more useful to start with (and they are much smaller).
Any chance of providing a link to said thread(s), tried searching but no joy.

Talking of books.
The David Busch guide books are excellent sources for learning stuff too.
Don't think the Mark III version is out for a month or so yet though?
