Daft question alert!

I have read a number of reviews which complain that the 5D Mk II cannot be used with Windows 7 64 bit as there are no suitable drivers. I find this difficult to believe as both W7 64 and the camera have been in the mainstream for an age. Could one of you kind people please put me out of my misery?

Yes it can. Working fine here with Win 7 x64. What people might have said is that you can't display the RAW files on Explorer as the codec pack doesn't support x64 O/S's. That was changed last year with a compatible codec available from Microsofts website: http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=26829
 
Thanks for the response Andy. It did seem unlikely that such a top spec camera would be excluded from 64 bit OS.
 
There may have been some confusion because the original 5D isn't supported
 
Hi Bob, I saw that while browsing the net. As I don't usually link my camera to the computer, just use my card reader, I wasn't too worried. However, I did try it the other day on Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit and it worked just fine. I just plugged the camera in and it loaded itself up and transferred the files spot on.
