Well the deed is done, I've been to the shops and bought a 5D mk2 :love:.
Didn't have to sell the wife either, bought it Jessops, they are now competitive, even used their V12 scheme, interest free over 12 months. I know money in the bank earns two parts of b*gger all but its there if I need it. All I need to do now is read yet another manual and try to remember what I did last time.:lol:
I'll try to read the 5D posts and see what tips I can gleen.
 
Possibly because he buy's his cameras from the dark side? :lol:
 
nice one, I want the 5Dmk2 as well. I couldn't justify the money just yet even over 12 months so i bought the 24-105 L series lens to keep me going in the mean time on my 40D. Also bought 12 months interest free from Jessops.
Post some pics up when you get chance, its a great camera and Im jealous.

Cheers Carl, Its been a long time coming, hopefully that the last time I'll get the urge to splash out; but at 56 I decided to treat myself.
 
I desperately want one but can't justify it yet. Getting the 24-105L soon, so the 500D will have to do for now.
