Canon 5d vs Canon 50d

I'm wondering which would be the best choice for landscape photography - in terms of image quality alone.

Disregarding the full frame/focal length argument - which camera would produce the best image quality, dynamic range - and overall produce "better" images.

Thanks in advance,
Jack

Edit: and please no 40d suggestions - I've ruled out that option as the 50d features would benefit me enough to be justifyable.

I was interested in the same question a few months ago, before I purchased the 50d. I did however come to the conclusion that 5D would produce better images, with a better range of colours, but I felt I could not justify the huge difference on price.

5d

only thing it doesn't have is live view (I think it doesn't at least) which can be dead handy

not 100% which is better in low light but 5d has amazing IQ (well 5d2 does and they're meant to be similar)

all depends on what you are doing landscape and portrait 5d all the way

motorsports - moving objects then 50D

each subject depends on what you are doing to what camera you use

i am going to buy a 5d when i have the cash for portrait and landscape and 50d for motorsports and similar things

is there a reason other than the framerate? (wondering more than questioning)
