Canon 600D V Canon Kiss X5

I've seen a Canon Kiss X5 at quite a low price. My understanding was/is that the Kiss X5 and the 600D were identical and the vendor tells me there is no difference except installed languages: the Kiss X5 has only Japanese and English. Is this correct? If it is then there would seem to be no reason not to go for the camera. Always assuming that the vendor can be trusted...
 
Thanks, I had seen that but there wasn't the specific, clear confirmation that they are identical and I've fallen foul of making assumptions in the past!

In the end I've decided to go for the 600D. The Kiss was an import and there wasn't a sufficient saving to compensate for potential problems with warranties and the possibility of import duty.
 
Same camera but different name for different maket. The US calls it something even different, I think T3i. They are normally always grey market imports and you have no manufacturer warranty, that's why there are so many on ebay for cheap.
