Yes
witch one of these would be better for mainly motorsport I like the 70d but not sure about the price difference would that be the release price or would it be cheaper once released or how long dose it take for them to drop in price

thanx

of course in theory the 70d is better, its got more fps, 7 as opposed to around 5.3-5.8fps, 19 focus points as opposed to 9.

But that in reality makes no difference to the person behind the lens.

I shoot motorsport with 60D's and have no problem, i've also shot motorsport with the mrs 1100D on a trackday I was on and that only has 3fps..

Its how much money you want to spend and if you think the extra bits are worth the money

I'm in a similar position TBH. I was going to get the 60D but heard about the 70D and decided to hold out. The AF points and FPS were important as I was agonising over 60D or 7D and the articulating screen was swaying me (I use it a lot on the g12).

If the FPS and AF points are worth the extra £300-400, go for the 70D or consider the 7D. Otherwise buy the 60D now.

cant afford one right now so might just save up and aim for the 70d and see what's about in a few months time

Assuming you already have some decent lenses, then I would consider 7D or 70D. The AF on the 7D is streets ahead of the lower cameras, and the 70D will be using the same system.

The handling and general ease of use will be superior on any - 60D, 70D or 7D.

The thing with the 7d and 70 is there a lot of money it's putting me of a bit don't no if I can justify spending that much don't no weather I would be better getting say a 60d and another lens or get a 7 or 70 and not upgrade the lenses

what is holding you back from doing what you want with your current body?

the flaws in what are effectively starter lenses are going to be shown up more in anything more demanding, that will be focus speed, accuracy as well as optical quality.

Unless there is something specific that the 450D won't do, then I would recommend upgrading glass before the body.
