canon 60d video help

hi with the weather being a bit rubbish the last few days i have started looking at taking a few videos of the birds around my feeders with my 60d.ive sort of got that sussed out now but im a bit stuck when the video is put onto my laptop.

yesterday i done a 80 second video i wanted to upload it to facebook for my mate to have a look but it would have taken around 3 hours to upload.

i have never tried this video malarky before so how do i make the video file smaller so it wont take as long to upload.

if anybody can offer some advice on the easy way to do this i would appreciate it.

You will need some video software to compress the file to a smaller size. If you don't have any software you can use Windows Movie Maker if you are on a PC.
