Canon 60D vs 70D

Have to be honest here, what are you mainly looking at?

Video or still images?

If its the latter then imoh you would be stupid to go for the 70D over the 60D.... one simple reason, the image quality has even been said from Canon to be "on par" with the 60D however the video is meant to be absolutely superb from the videos I have seen and I am very much liking that about the 70D.

Both cameras will acheive superb image quality but the fact is this, if you will be taking more images than video it makes absolutely NO sense to buy a body at 2 times the cost for the same image quality.... AT ALL. haha :D

Spend the money on a top notch lens as that will make the difference.

Just my opinion of course.

I'd use it for;

-Self portraits/shots that I'm in.
-shooting and directing models more comfortably in the studio environment.
-all kinds of video work.
-wildlife.
-sports where it allows me two angles and more control.
-weddings, again a two camera set up.

The ability to totally control a body over Wi-Fi is fantastic and I would pay extra to have it easily.

I'd also use it for underwater photography where you really don't want to keep removing/resealing the thing in the housing unless you absolutely have to.

Well my impatience got the better of me. I put my name on the waiting list at LCE Southampton just in case and when they called today to say they had one, I could not resist and pop in after work to collect it :) battery on charge so no pics yet but will post as soon as I get chance (and work out how and where to upload them to)
