Just a quick one. Probably missed something silly but here goes.
Sync speed is 1/180th with a speed light attached eg in Av or TV but when in manual mode I can't select 1/180th, shutter goes from 1/160th then to 1/200th. What am I missing/doing wrong?

You need to change your shutter speed increments (menu item) from 1/3 stop to 1/2 stop.

Cheers for that. I have supposed to have looked for that in the menu as on my old 450d I used to see that option.

I probably wouldn't bother changing anything over as it will make matters worse elsewhere (less choice).

1/160 vs 1/180s will be very little difference in practice. Now the 1D range has 1/300s, and lens shutter MF cameras 1/500s. That's a little bigger difference, but is it necessary?
 
Yes I did come to that conclusion but at least I have the choice now I know where it is in the custom menus.
