Seen the quality of 70 - 200 f4 canon but not sigma

heard great things about both but the sigmas can be flakey with getting a nice copy of the lens

Honest advice please

Can't speak for the 70-200mm F4, but it has a VERY good reputation.......

i have the canon, its amazingly sharp, i chose this one as it was a very good price, if i was looking at about £450 used price, id go with the sig 2.8

Can't help you there really mate. I done a trade on here about a month ago with my Nikon 70-300mm lens.
So can't put an accurate price on it.

You could have a search through the classifieds/for sale section and see what they go for second hand?
I'd say around £400-£450 :shrug:
 
had my 70-200 2.8 today :D


have a look in the bird forum..WOW a greater spotted ....!!

and you will see what i got today;)

i am very impressed i have used the f/4 canon and the 2,8 is canon.. both great lens.. but I am very happy so far with the siggy... and the price is a fair bit different

thanks guys really appreciate the comments cant wait to try it on saturday and hopefully i will have made my final desicion
 
just got the sigma 70-200 f2.8, its sharp even towards 200mm.
when i first got it and tested it, it looked soft... but the weekends pics proved that wrong! check the MX thread in motorsport.:D
