Canon 70-200 non IS

Do you still use this for weddings or have you upgraded to the IS/IS II?

I've used the IS mark 1 for a wedding in June (hired it) and was fairly impressed. However, I have to watch my budget and was thinking of buying the non IS version to enable me to move funds elsewhere for a prime.

Any strong "for" or "against" shouts ?

have you tried the sigma offering at a cheaper price? or does it not cut the professional mustard?

Hey Matt, thanks for offer bud. It's been suggested by others but I know I'll still yearn for that red "L" of the Canon at some point.

I might take you up on it though as I need to get something sorted within a fortnight

Hi I bought the f4 non IS, started to use it and wished Id'e bought the f2.8 IS. So I did and it's brill. Nicer to hold, much better results. Go for the IS version.
