I'm considering saving up for a long lens to replace my 55-250 - ideally I'd like something with a bit more reach.
I've heard amazing things about the 70-200 f/2.8 and also good things about the 100-400 f/5.6 - but I wonder if I could somehow compromise with the 70-200 plus a 2x TC. Would the quality be lacking?
It's quite an investment for me, ant although I'm pretty happy with the 55-250, a bit more reach would be good and faster AF would be a real bonus.
