Just been getting to grips with a Canon 700d (first slr camera). Is there a way to see a grid though the viewfinder? Also is there a way to see the photo I've just taken through the viewfinder?

Also been playing with the settings, most pictures coming out blurry at the min (especially fast paced ones). :arghh: It's certainly going to take some getting used to.

Thank you for the reply. I'd seen that in the manual but those settings are for the LCD monitor.

After more reading it looks like you can't see the grid and photo through the viewfinder.

You will not see the picture you have taken through the viewfinder as it is an optical view of what the lens is seeing. The electronic review section of the camera is separate and will only show on the LCD screen

Using live view will bring up on the LCD screen what the camera is seeing.

Thank you. I think an older type camera I'd used before was like it.

At least I now know it's not on there so I don't have to keep looking for it!
