Canon 7D AF points.

Hi folks.

I currently own a 5dmk2 and more recently, a 7d.

On my 5dmk2, I have the focal points set up to be selected by the quick control dial. I turn the dial, it cycles through the points.


I have tried to do this on the 7d, but it only moves along the 7 focal points on the centre line. Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong? Using the joystick just doesn't feel right with me - ideally I'd like to use the dial to be able to access all points - as I do on the 5dmk2 .... I just don't seem able to set it up.

Any offers?

This is also something that has bugged me since trading in my old 500D for a 7D. Subscribed.

Have you tried using the other dial for vertical? I think that's supposed to work...
