canon 7D and kit lenses

Hi in the process me buying 7D:):):)

The person selling it say he bought it from park cameras

But say it has a 18-55mm is lens with the kit...

I thought the 7D came with either 15-85 or 18-135mm is

Is this right or wrong could you get the 7D with the 18-55is in a kit

The guy seam genuine and its cash on collection just wounder about it

if its cash on collection dont worry

lots of people buy camera body only and buy a lens seperately to save money .. perhaps he did this?
 
How do you tell its the uk model as well as I don't know what to look for
 
The label on the box will state it, but if he said he purchased from Parks just ask for the receipt. If it's out of warranty it doesn't really matter anyway.
 
No true just costing a lot me money so just trying to put my mind at rest might be just panicing lol
 
The basic question to answer is the equipment you are getting good value, negotiate from there if needed. To some extent the lens is secondary as you may well want to change it for the 15-85 later perhaps or supplement it with a 70-200. Stop worrying.
 
Oh its very good value boxed 7D canon battry grip extra canon bat battry tray remote shutter release SD card 18 55 is 50 prime 1.4 all boxed like new 1100 pounds don't think that's bad fair price what do you think
 
How old is the camera ? sounds like a fair deal to me. You can get the camera new for about £1k, but then add on the lenses and battery grip so it sounds reasonable.
 
i bought a 7D for £850 .. and sold my 50 1.4 prime for £250 .. so thats £1100 without the grip, extra batt, remote and kit lens .. id say its a bargain

It's not a SD card

Apparently all the kit is less than a year old
 
I'm not sure the 18-55 lens will do the 7D justice and would think you'll need to purchase a new good quality short end zoom to replace it (if you need that focal range). Is the 18-55 the IS version or not ?

You would be able to sell that lens anyway, so would take a bit of the price of a new one

Does seem a good price for everything
 
Yea not bothered about that going to sell it and put money to more suitable one what I don't know yet next thing to look into like I said got 50mm 1.4 prime so that's good just need a good walkabout genual zoom

Any ideas

Just makes sure that Canon is spelt with C on the Body and Box and you will be ok.

Kind of depends on budget and needs really.

The 15-85 is supposed to be a good lens.
The 17-55 is reported as a belter of a lens and is nearly an L lens.
The 24-105 is a great lens and gives you more reach, but less wide angle.

And then there are the Sigma and other lenses ......
