Hello
I have heard that amongst the improvements of the Canon firmware update to version 2 there are also many downsides. Have these now been corrected or do they still exist?
Thanks
Thanks, I have no interest in video so the upgrade will just give me a higher burst rate and defineable max ISO setting? Can the firmware be downgraded if needed if I do decide to upgrade?
Thank you for your replies, I will fully cahrge my battery tonight and upgrade![]()
Updated to firmware 2.0.3 and all is well from a quick test, just need a good weekend to have a decent trial.
I know someone who swears that since updating his 7D to 2.0.3 it occasionally switches from RAW to Small JPEG, so he has to check it every time he uses it.
Not sure if he is knocking something but he did say that it has happened quite a few times where he has just been waiting for something to happen and the next burst it has switched to Small JPEG.
Don't know if anyone else has experienced this at all. I held back because it is a one-way process (though I think there is a way to downgrade it again) and the new features are not that important to me (except perhaps ISO limit).

Is he using one of the Custom modes and got the jpg setting saved? I think when the camera sleeps it defaults back to your saved settings even though you might of changed them since.
