Canon 7d mk II with Canon 70-200mm f2.8L plus Kenko 1.4x extender issue

Does anyone have any clue why my Canon 7d mk II with Canon 70-200mm f2.8L plus Kenko DGX 1.4x
Pro300 extender locks up ? It autofocus's brilliantly but when it trys to save the image it just locks the camera up and the only way back is switching it off and removing the battery. Any help much appreciated

It sounds like it is reproducible i.e. the combo always locks up?

Have you tried just the body & lens without the TC.......if it behaves 100% ok without the TC that is obviously the cause. Solution? replace that TC with a Canon x1.4 TC MK3???

I think it’s a problem with the tc. You probably need a canon one.
