I am after a remote for my 7D as my old one doesn't fit the 7D. I really like the Canon TC-80N3 but it's way too expensive.
Anyone know which of the 3rd party Chinese ones off fleabay are good?

've recently acquired a Yongnuo MC-36B remote from Ebay. Bit miffed as I was expecting something that looked very similar to the Canon remote, but the seller offered me a £ 3 refund and I couldn't be bothered to raise a paypal claim or the hassle of a return.

What you see is not what you get, but functions the same. Google MC-36B or MC-36 for what arrived.

So far it does exactly what it says, but I've not really played with the more advanced functions.

Amazon have started doing some of these Far-Eastern remotes (or some of their market-place resellers have). Prices not as cheap as Ebay but it is from the UK so you should be better off if things go wrong.

Look for Phottix on fleabay, they are as good as a Canon on a bang for buck level.

I have an old Phottix set that I got for the 40D and they work great on my 5d2, the only time they failed was when the battery ran out in the remote. 5 batteries for £2.80 delivered from HK so still cheap as chips ~:D
