Canon 7D tips

Hi everyone, I just bought canon 7D it's a big step up from my old 400D I had for about 6 or 7 years. Going on a big trip in December to Florida and the everglades so thought I best get some better gear for wildlife and suchlike. So has anyone got some tips, tricks or advice will be very grateful.

You have a great camera and given time and patience you will learn how to use it. Read the manual from cover to cover and then read it again.

When I made a similar upgrade I found a dedicated user guide a great help - much better than the included manual I bought Andy Stansfield's Expanded Guide, very readable and a good introduction to the 7D. It's a great camera and Andy's guide helps to make sure you are aware of, and familiar with all of its features.

Others may have a different view, but I suggest taking care to avoid underexposing your images. Lifting exposure in PP can increase noise if you're not careful.

Thanks a lot gentlemen I will check out your suggestions. And yes the camera feels good in my hands and the image colour seems much richer, I'm quite happy with it.
